You are scaring the hells out of her. Everyone has been treating her like a timid little mouse. She hasn't even had 10 minutes to breath without someone breathing down her neck bombarding with questions, attention, or one thing or another. You want to know what she asked for in the Library? Space. Simple.... easy..... just space. She asked you, and rather than giving it to her, you came back, twice.... You're trying to hard man. And you're going to push her away and there won't be a single thing I can do about it. Just relax, let her come to you but above all, give her some fucking space. Not one person has offered to show her around, hells she doesn't even know where the bathroom is. Do you know how degrading that must feel? That she has to rely on everyone for every thing? It must be a nightmare. Just be there for her, when she's ready. That's all she needs.

You don't know anything about her, not really, because you're trying to steer the narative. Let her do the talking, listen, hear what she has to say, show interest in what she has to say without putting in your own opinion. And when she asks a question, be honest, sincere, and humble. The key to friendship, and eventually romance, is trust, honestly, listening, understanding, concern, care, and respect.
